The Aurum Institute is offering a great opportunity to suitably qualified and experienced staff to contribute towards our mission to improve the health of the poor through innovation in Global health research, technical support and programme delivery. We are focused on research, support and implementing integrated approaches to managing TB and HIV. Technical Work Responsibilities
Policies, procedures and procurement
•Designs and implements corporate approved Project Management Coordination policies for assigned departments
•Ensure adherence to agreed processes, standards and guidelines
Coaching and mentoring
•Coach and mentor project providers and managers by providing advice and guidance, monitoring and assurance, advocacy and education with respect to programmes, projects, and their delivery.
•Critically analyze workflow of environment and propose improvements to respective manager
•Ensures accurate transfer of information to District team
•Establish district wide project reporting with a focus on value added advice, early identification and resolution of risk and issues.
•Accurate and timely reporting of project outcomes
•Follow up on outstanding reports & timely escalation to relevant managers if timelines are not met
•Support the office of the Senior and District manager
•Provide professional assistance throughout Bojanala district to ensure optimum deliverables
•Keep DMT minutes and follow up on action items
•Chair some of the DMT meetings
•Successfully completes projects within the given timeline with adequate resourcing and accuracy of financial estimates
•Contribute significantly to the department's strategic plans through innovative suggestions and proper research
•Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management
•Certificate in HIV/AIDS or Health related diploma
•Minimum 2 years related experience in the field of Project Management
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Management level position of Project Management
•In-depth knowledge of Aurum rules, protocols, codes and procedures
High level and cross-functional specialized knowledge of the business
•Strong communication & consultative abilities
•District wide Project Management capability
•Project and contract management of CBO’s
•Ability to act independently and objectively with high integrity
•Expert ability to perform against a set of rules
•Expert ability to work within set time frames and planning ahead
Expert process orientation
NB: Non – South African citizens must have a valid work-permit
